Buffalo Bills’ WR Zay Jones Appears To Levitate After Missing Pass

(SL) – In a move that would make Michael Jackson proud, Zay Jones appeared to defy gravity on Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. On a second-quarter play, Jones fell to the ground just out of the end zone trying to make a catch.

He missed the pass and afterwards appeared to float backwards onto his feet. Up until now, the rookie was living a pretty quiet life. But now, his magic has been exposed baffling half the planet. The others are in on it, they just haven’t shared the secret.

In a move that will no doubt make you hit the rewind button, people who have worked with Zay aren’t surprised. It’s his athleticism. And one of his former college coaches says you can attribute this move directly to his core strength. Well, whatever the cause, it’s pretty astonishing to watch.

Cheating, Therapy, Politics, His Mother’s Sexuality, Making A Song Cry And OJ Simpson: Jay Z’s Most Candid Interview To Date With The New York Times

“The most beautiful things are not these objects. The most beautiful things are inside. “- Jay Z

(SL) – “I can’t see it coming down my eyes, so I gotta make the song cry.” Hip Hop Mogul Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter says when he wrote that song he was clearly hiding because the strongest thing a man can do is cry.

In his evolution, he now believes that being vulnerable and exposing yourself to the world is real strength; something him and Beyonce both exercised on their latest projects. 46D0A1B400000578-5129969-image-a-72_1511985798284Jigga says originally it was supposed to be a joint album, but Beyonce was way ahead in her project and ended up dropping Lemonade first. It was Lemonade that finally put the spotlight on what possibly happened when Solange went Bruce Lee in the elevator. But…will he ever tell us who Becky with the good hair is? Not likely.

Beyonce dropped the hints and Jay Z pretty much confirmed the infidelity allegations on his top grammy nominated album 4:44. However, Hov, outside of his lyrics, has never flat out admitted that yes…he did in fact cheat on his wife of nine years, until now.

With no theatrics, no studio, producer or engineer Jay Z sat down with Dean Baquet on September 27th and took us all the way inside the life of music’s next billionaire.

“I’m not black. I’m O.J.” – Orenthal Simpson

“When I was invited to interview Jay-Z, I wanted to talk about his song “The Story of O.J.,” from his most recent album, “4:44,” in which he quotes the legendary, maybe apocryphal, Simpson line “I’m not black, I’m O.J.”

I was less engaged by the rapper’s marital troubles or his infamous, caught-on-video 2014 elevator dust-up with his sister-in-law. But I did want to try to understand how, with an $88 million Bel Air mansion a freeway ride from neighborhoods where black people endure with so little, Jay-Z holds onto his younger self — a black man who grew up in the ’70s in the Marcy projects of Brooklyn. It seemed from his new body of work that examining this high-wire act of straddling two places had been stirring more deeply within him — much the way it stirs in me, a Southern black man who grew up revering O.J. and whose own success is infinitely greater than anyone in my early life would have imagined for me.

What is it about the story of O.J. Simpson that moved us both?

BAQUET The things I want to talk to you about: I want to talk a little bit about race. Your music some, too. I thought the song [“The Story of O.J.,” from the album “4:44,” 2017] was particularly powerful. I took the message as, “You can be rich, you can be poor, you’re still black.” Who were you speaking to? Who did you want to listen to that and be moved by it?

JAY-Z It’s a nuanced song, you know. It’s like, I’m specifically speaking to us. And about who we are and how do you maintain the sense of self while pushing it forward and holding us to have a responsibility for our actions. Because in America, it is what it is. And there’s a solution for us: If we had a power base together, it would be a much different conversation than me having a conversation by myself and trying to change America by myself. If I come with 40 million people, there’s a different conversation, right? It’s just how it works. I can effect change and get whomever in office because this many people, we’re all on the same page. Right? So the conversation is, like, “I’m not rich, I’m O.J.” For us to get in that space and then disconnect from the culture. That’s how it starts. This is what happens. And then you know what happens? You’re on your own, and you see how that turned out.

BAQUET Was it a reminder, too, that the thing O.J. forgot, maybe, was that as rich as he was, as entitled as his life was, he was reminded very forcefully when he became a subject of racial debate that he was also a black man, whether he accepted that or not?

Serena And Venus’ Dad (75) Accuses Estranged Wife (38) Of Stalking Violence, Files For Protective Order

(SL) – According to document, Richard Williams has filed for a protective order against his estranged wife after a bitter split five months ago.

Richard Williams accuses Lakeisha Williams to whom he was married to for seven years of cyber stalking and stalking violence. His son Chavoita Lesane filed the same claim. Lakeisha and Richard share one child together; a five year old little boy who reportedly is in Richard’s exclusive care.

At the time of their split, Richard claimed she transferred the deed of one of his homes to herself without his permission and then took out a $152,000-mortgage on it after, again, imitating his writing.

He also claims, she also transferred the titles of multiple cars to herself, took money out of their joint bank accounts and accounts he owned alone, and took some of his social security payments.

Williams alleges his wife is an alcoholic who stole his guns. But in documents filed in June, Lakeisha claimed she took his AK-47 after his behavior became hostile and erratic.

In reference to the protective order, a judge has denied both Richard and Chavoita’s petitions due to a lack of evidence.

New Research Highlights Youth Football Players’ Brain Injury Risk

(SL) -A new study says young football players can have measurable changes in the brain after only one season of play. Researchers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas say that’s true even with youngsters who have not had concussions.

They found changes that can lead to traumatic brain injuries and mental disorders. Researchers say the vast majority of head impacts players experience don’t cause concussions. They say that’s something that needs a lot more study among youth football and high school players.shutterstock-68181940Science Daily reports, For the study, 26 youth football players (ages 9-13) were outfitted with the Head Impact Telemetry System (HITS) for an entire football season. HITS helmets are lined with accelerometers or sensors that measure the magnitude, location and direction of impacts to the head. Impact data from the helmets were used to calculate a risk of concussion exposure for each player. Players were equally divided into high and low concussion exposure groups. Players with a history of concussion were excluded.

A third group of 13 non-contact sport controls was established. Pre- and post-season resting functional MRI (fMRI) scans were performed on all players and controls, and connectivity within the DMN sub-components was analyzed.

The researchers used machine learning to analyze the fMRI data. Machine learning is a type of artificial intelligence that allows computers to perform analyses based on existing relationships of data.
“Machine learning has a lot to add to our research because it gives us a fresh perspective and an ability to analyze the complex relationships within the data,” said Murugesan. “Our results suggest an increasing functional change in the brain with increasing head impact exposure.”Five machine learning classification algorithms were used to predict whether players were in the high-exposure, low-exposure or non-contact groups based on the fMRI results.
The algorithm discriminated between high-impact exposure and non-contact with 82 percent accuracy, and low-impact exposure and non-contact with 70 percent accuracy. The results suggest an increasing functional change with increasing head-impact exposure.”The brains of these youth and adolescent athletes are undergoing rapid maturation in this age range.

Expensive Breakup: MiMi Reportedly Receives $5 – $10 Million Payout From Ex-Billionaire Beau

(SL) – Wait. I didn’t know you could receive a settlement from an ex-fiance but according to reports that’s exactly what just happened between Mariah Carey and James Packer.

After a whirlwind romance, the two got engaged and had plans to marry. The engagement lasted from January 2016 to October 2016 before it abruptly ended.  It’s believed that Packer initiated the split. Carey was seeking $50 million, but walked away with far less.

Sources claim her overall settlement package is valued between $5 and $10 million. It’s also believed that she was allowed to keep the large diamond engagement ring he gave her.

The settlement supposedly went down a few months ago. Mariah based part of her settlement claim on the fact that she uprooted her life and moved to Los Angeles to be with the Casino businessman.

Bosnian Croat War Criminal Kills Himself By Drinking Poison After Losing 20 Year Sentence Appeal

(SL) – Slobodan Pralijack was one of six Bosnian Croat political and military leaders up before the court. The 72 year old took a swig from a small container or glass as United Nation Judges announced that his appeal of a 20-year sentence for war crimes had been denied.

Pralijack drank the poison in the courtroom and died. “Slobodan Praljak is not a war criminal. I am rejecting your verdict with contempt,” Praljak shouted before swallowing the liquid.

The judge was then heard immediately suspending proceedings and asking for the curtains to be drawn. An ambulance was at the building shortly and paramedics raced up to the courtroom, Reuters reported.
Praljak, a former assistant defense minister of Croatia and commander of the Croatian Defense Council was convicted of offenses which date to between 1992 and 1994 and came as part of a wider conflict that followed the breakup of the former Yugoslavia in the early 1990s.
He along with others was accused of trying to “ethnically cleanse” non-Croats from areas of the territory of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Bosnian Croat leadership, along with Croat leaders, wanted to make this territory part of a “Greater Croatia,” the ICTY said when the case first went through the court.
The courtroom was being treated as a crime scene, an ICTY spokesperson told CNN.
Croatia’s Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic, later confirmed the former general had died and offered his condolences.
“On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and on my own behalf, I want to express my deepest condolences to the family of General Slobodan Praljak,” Plenkovic said, according to a tweet from an official government account.

Tampa Police Arrest Possible Murderer Who Went On Killing Spree In Seminole Heights

(SL) – Authorities in Tampa believe a former basketball player for St. John’s University in New York could be their suspect in a string of Seminole Heights murders that sparked serial killer fears and had the community on alert for months.

Howell Donaldson III was arrested at a McDonald’s restaurant in Ybor City, based on a tip given to Tampa police, FOX 13 Tampa reported. He will face murder charges in connection with all four killings, Stephen Hegarty, the Tampa Police Department’s public safety information coordinator, told Fox News.

It all started on Oct. 9, when 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell was shot to death. Two days later, 32-year-old Monica Hoffa was killed. Oct. 19, Anthony Naiboa, 20, was murdered after taking the wrong bus home from his new job. And the latest victim Ronald Felton, 60, was slain Nov. 14 as he was walking to volunteer at a food pantry in Seminole Heights.

Police believe Donaldson acted alone, Hegarty said. The arrest comes after one of Donaldson’s coworkers at McDonald’s approached an officer about a gun in the workplace.

Reportedly, Donaldson handed a coworker a McDonald’s bag with a.40 caliber Glock in it that was loaded. He allegedly told the coworker that he wanted to leave the state.

Donaldson agreed to allow authorities search his car and they found what is believed to be a  blood stain on some clothing.ctm-1129-bojorquez-tampaserialkillercaught-1451727-640x360According to police records, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and ATF analyzed the fired cartridge casings in all four murder scenes, and identified the casings were fired from the same firearm: a Glock .40 caliber handgun.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn says, “You know 51 days ago I said this was a struggle between good and evil, well know, goodness has won.”

NBC Fires Matt Lauer Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations

(SL) – NBC “Today” Show host Matt Lauer is the latest high-profile media personality to be fired over allegations of sexual misconduct. NBC News Chief Andrew Lack sent a memo to staff overnight saying the network had received a complaint from a colleague about the long-time morning host and said there was evidence it may not have been an isolated incident.

Lack didn’t provide details but the “New York Post” is reporting that NBC insiders say Lauer is accused of sexually assaulting a network staffer at the Sochi Olympics. The 59-year-old Lauer had hosted “Today” for nearly 20 years.

In the memo, Lack said, “On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer.”

He said the allegation against Mr. Lauer “represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment.”

“While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over 20 years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”

Mr. Lauer’s co-host, Savannah Guthrie, announced the news on “Today” on Wednesday morning. Appearing on the verge of tears, Ms. Guthrie said, “All we can say is we are heartbroken; I’m heartbroken.”GettyImages-683394046She described Mr. Lauer as “a dear, dear friend,” and said she was “heartbroken for the brave colleague who came forward to tell her story.”

Calling Mr. Lauer’s resignation part of a national reckoning, she continued, “How do you reconcile your love for someone with the revelation that they have behaved badly?”

The “Today” staff learned the news shortly before going live. Giving the weather report, a visibly shaken Al Roker said, “I’m still trying to process the news.”

Matt receives criticism years ago over his treatment of then Co-host Ann Curry.article-2186739-13D4F2FD000005DC-939_634x426Mr. Lauer’s dismissal was seized upon by President Trump, who went on to ask in a tweet when executives at NBC and Comcast, the network’s parent company, would “be fired for putting out so much fake news.”

CBS and PBS fired Charlie Rose earlier this month and Fox News fired Bill O’Reilly in February. Fox News also axed founder Roger Ailes last year after former anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment suit that led to a 20-million dollar settlement.

North Korea Missle Capable Of Hitting The US

(SL) – NBC News reports, Kim Jong Un’s latest ballistic missile test flew 10 times higher than the International Space Station and twice as high as any satellite in low-earth orbit, according to South Korea’s military.

Although analysts were scrambling Wednesday to learn what they could about the North Korean launch, Pyongyang said it had tested a new type of missile, named the Hwasong-15.

Dictator Kim’s secretive state claimed it was carrying a “super-large heavy warhead” that was capable of striking the entire U.S. mainland. But analysts say that based on the current evidence it’s hard to prove or debunk the Pyongyang’s claim that it can now hit faraway American targets such as New York or Washington, D.C.

rtx3dwpgThe North Koreans have now test-fired missiles 18 times since President Donald Trump took office in January. Tuesday’s launch was the first for more than two months.

Western officials agreed it appeared to be an intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM, which flew further than any other demonstrated by the North.

It was fired on what is called a “lofted” trajectory, meaning it was aimed at a steep angle and traveled very high but landed relatively close to its launch site.

Reaching an altitude of around 2,800 miles above the Earth’s surface, according to South Korea, it crashed down in the Sea of Japan around 600 miles away from where it was fired.

636368902743852965-AP-North-Korea-Missile“It went higher, frankly, than any previous shot they’ve taken,” Defense Secretary James Mattis told reporters at the White House.

Some experts believe that if North Korea aimed the rocket at a lower angle, as it would in an attack scenario, this range could be stretched to some 8,100 miles — theoretically putting the entire East Coast in range.
