(SL) – Insert *side-eye* emoji. Just days after Donald Trump retweeted a gif that shows him hitting a golf ball that knocks Hillary Clinton over, Melania Trump thought it would be a good idea to preach about cyber bullying during a recent U.N. event.

You can’t make this stuff up. The New York Times offered a complete list of the 369 People, Places and Things that Trump insulted on twitter and it’s cyber bullying at its finest.

Whether with his attack on Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Manning, Katie Couric, Arianna Huffington and Paul Ryan or Ana Navarro, Kim Jong-Un, Mexicans and Muslims…one thing the whole world knows is that Donald Trump is the bully of all bullies.

How Melania thought this was a good idea is beyond all things that make sense, but nevertheless she did it and with a straight face.

Colin Kaepernick’s Mom Responds To Donald Trump’s ‘Son Of A Bitch’ Comment

(SL) – Puerto Rico is in complete devastation, Mexico has been hit with three earthquakes in two weeks and North Korea wants to blow up the capitol and Donald Trump is picking on black athletes.

During a rally in Alabama, Trump, once again, left the topic to attack NFL players who choose to kneel during the National Anthem.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out, he’s fired. He’s fired,’” Trump said. “You know, some owner is going to do that. He’s going to say, ‘That guy that disrespects our flag, he’s fired.’ And that owner, they don’t know it [but] they’ll be the most popular person in this country.”

Trump is out of line for many reasons and most importantly Colin Kaepernick and other athletes who choose to kneel are well withing their first amendment rights. Colin’s mom’s response has been liked over 100 thousand times and the retweets are vast as well.

Roger Goodell Responds To Donald Trump’s Comments About NFL Players That Take A Knee

(SL) – Donald Trump  went after the NFL Friday night during a rally for Republican Senate candidate Luther Strange. The president suggested that any player that takes a knee or protests during the national anthem should be fired.”Get that son of a b—- off the field right now, out. He’s fired. He’s fired!” 

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell responded today saying, “The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture. There is no better example than the amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural disasters we’ve experienced over the last month. Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.”

A Bride For Harry? Rumor Claims Meghan Markle Has Met The Queen

(SL) – Prince Harry’s romance with biracial actress Meghan Markle comes as a shock to well….no one. How can you not be attracted to either of them? The gorgeous couple is rumored to make their first official appearance together in Canada for the Invictus Games being held September 22nd to September 30th, but we’ve already seen enough of these two to conclude that there’s something serious going on.

Harry and Meghan recently traveled together to Botswana, and Markle spoke about their “love” in October’s Vanity Fair cover story, which has led many to believe an engagement announcement is imminent.  No rush guys…but a royal wedding is just what we need at a time like this with so much going on in the world. Keith Tharpe Set To Be Executed Later This Month As It’s Revealed Juror Who Used The N-Word Voted For Death Because He’s Black

(SL) – According to one of the jurors assigned to Keith Tharpe’s case, he’s a ‘n…..’. And after serving 26 years on death row, Tharpe’s attorney is hoping that racial bias will save his client’s life.

It was a grisly crime indeed. Keith Leroy Tharpe, now 59, was sentenced to death in 1991 just three months after he allegedly murdered his sister-in-law (Jacqueline Freeman) and kidnapped and raped his estranged wife.

 

11 Alive reports,  according to court documents, Tharpe repeatedly threatened his wife and her family after she left him. One September morning, as Freeman and Tharpe’s wife were on their way to work, the 59-year-old used his car to force his wife’s off the road. It was there he got out of the car and, armed with a shotgun, forced Freeman to the back of the vehicle where he shot her twice.

After shooting the 29-year-old and rolling her body into a ditch, he kidnapped and raped his estranged wife.

During the sentencing phase of the trial, a Jones County jury voted unanimously for the death penalty.

 

After several petitions from Tharpe, the Department of Corrections Commissioner Gregory Dozier finally set the execution date for Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Jackson County Prison

But now,  word that  during an interview, a juror told attorneys that he believes black people can be divided into two categories — “good black folks” and “n—–s,” could reverse the ruling.

The juror, reportedly, told attorneys he thought of Freeman’s family as “nice black folks” and said if her family “had been the type Tharpe is, then picking between life or death for Tharpe wouldn’t have mattered as much,” according to the motion.

The juror claims that he voted for the death penalty based only on the evidence, but Tharpe’s attorney believes his views on race were tied to his decision.

“Death sentences cannot be based on racial bias on even the part of one juror,” Kammer said. “It really undermines the appearance of and reality of fairness in death sentencing.”

Tharpe’s attorney, Brian Kammer, is asking a judge to take another look at Tharpe’s case.

If executed, Tharpe will be the 48th inmate put to death by lethal injection in Georgia.

Seattle Seahawks Player Michael Bennett Held At Gunpoint By Las Vegas Police

(SL) – The NY Times reports,  Seattle Seahawks star Michael Bennett said he was held at gunpoint and handcuffed by the police in Las Vegas after the Mayweather-McGregor fight.

Bennett wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that after the fight Aug. 26, he heard what he thought were gunshots and began running, along with other people. Bennett said the police singled him out, ordered him to the ground and held a gun to his head.

Bennett said an officer “forcefully jammed his knee” into his back. He said he was handcuffed so tightly that his fingers went numb. Bennett said he was “terrified” and wondered if he would see his children again.

According to Bennett, he was released after officers realized he was “not a thug, common criminal or ordinary black man, but Michael Bennett, a famous professional football player.”

Bennett attributed his detention to being black. “Las Vegas police officers singled me out and pointed their guns at me for doing nothing more than simply being a black man in the wrong place at the wrong time,” he wrote.

At a news conference later Wednesday, Undersheriff Kevin C. McMahill of the Las Vegas Police Department said that the department had learned of Bennett’s allegations only that day and that an investigation had been started.

Donald Trump Jr. Will Testify In Russia Collusion Probe Today

(SL) – It will happen behind closed doors but, DJ is set to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee about a 2016 meeting he attended with a lawyer linked to the Kremlin today.

Donald Trum Jr. attended the meeting in an attempt to get dirt on Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.  USA Today reports,  his testimony was confirmed Wednesday by congressional aides who were not authorized to speak publicly, is part of the panel’s investigation of the 2016 presidential race and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.

The president’s son attended a June 2016 meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower along with Paul Manafort, who was Trump’s campaign manager at the time, and Jared Kushner, who is Trump’s son-in-law.

Trump Jr. released emails in July of this year that showed he actively sought damaging information about Clinton from the meeting even after he was told it would come from the Russian government. Trump Jr. has described the meeting as a waste of time, saying it did not yield any useful information for his father’s campaign.

The Judiciary Committee and the Senate and House Intelligence committees are all conducting Russia probes. Special counsel Robert Mueller is leading a separate investigation.

Senate Judiciary Committee staff and some senators will question Trump Jr. in Thursday’s closed session.

Charging Prejudice Against Mexicans, 15 States And D.C. Sue The Government Over DACA

(SL) –  NBC News reports, Fifteen states and the District of Columbia sued the U.S. government Wednesday to block President Donald Trump’s plan to end protection against deportation for young immigrants, saying it was motivated by prejudice against Mexicans.

Legal experts, however, say the evidence of bias is not strong in the case involving the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA.

“It might be able to muck up the works, maybe push off the effective date of the repeal, but I don’t see litigation being successful in the same way as the travel ban,” Kari Hong, an immigration expert at Boston College Law School, said, referring to the lawsuit earlier this year that limited the Trump ban involving predominantly Muslim nations.

As indications of Trump’s bias, the suit filed Wednesday cited his previous statements referring to some Mexican immigrants as rapists and his decision to pardon former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was convicted of contempt for ignoring a federal court order to stop traffic patrols that targeted immigrants.

“Ending DACA, whose participants are mostly of Mexican origin, is a culmination of President’s Trump’s oft-stated commitments — whether personally held, stated to appease some portion of his constituency, or some combination thereof — to punish and disparage people with Mexican roots,” the lawsuit filed in federal court in Brooklyn said.

Peruvian Diver Rises From Depth Too Fast And Now Suffers From Nitrogen Bubbles

(SL) – He’s not a bodybuilder, Alejandro Ramos Martinez is a seafood diver from Pisco, Peru.  The diver is making international headlines after an accident blew him up like a balloon.

Oddity Central reports, He apparently rose from a depth of 30 meters too fast, which caused the nitrogen in his blood to form giant bubbles that adhered to his muscles, leaving him looking deformed.

Martínez’s unusual case was featured on Peruvian TV show “Cuarto Poder”, where doctors were left stunned by the horrifying effect of the nitrogen pods on the man’s physical appearance.

Decompression sickness, also known as ‘the bends’, causes nitrogen to come out of solution and form bubbles in the blood and tissues. In mild cases, symptoms include unusual fatigue, dizziness, nausea and joint pain, but in rare cases it can also cause paralysis or even death.
