{Video} Full Dashcam Video Released In Philando Castile Shooting

(SL) – A new video of Philando Catstile’s death has been released from the view of the police car dashcam.

Castile supporters were left stunned by the not guilty verdict of Jeronimo Yanez, the officer who took all of 74 seconds to take the young man’s life. Castile was traveling with his girlfriend and her daughter when they were pulled over because the brake lights were out.

Yanez then asks Castile for his driver’s license and insurance.

castile5n-2-webCastile hands over the cards and says, “Sir, I do have to tell you I do have a firearm on me.” Yanez calmly responds, “Okay. Don’t reach for it then.” His voice rises suddenly and he yells, “Don’t pull it out. Don’t pull it out.”

Seven shots were fired into the vehicle. Five hit Castile and all while Castile’s girlfriend Diamond Reynolds and her daughter were in the car.  Dashcam video also shows the young girl running out of the car and into the arms of another police officer who was also in the line of fire when Yanez unloaded and stepped out of the way.

Castile’s gun was registered. Castile was a cafeteria supervisor at J.J. Hill Montessori Magnet School in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Cover Up? No Drugs Found In Aaron Hernandez’s System, Current Estate Valued At $0

(SL) – There’s something very off about the death of former NFL player Aaron Hernandez.

The body of the ex-pro reportedly did not contain any traces of drugs, according to toxicology reports.

After Hernandez’s body was found hanging from a sheet in his cell at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts earlier this month, authorities ruled it out as a suicide. Claims soon surfaced that he could’ve smoked synthetic marijuana before allegedly killing himself, but those reports have been refuted.

54741651Sources say the tests performed as part of Hernandez’s autopsy showed he hadn’t used any illegal drugs or synthetic marijuana ‘K2’.

The toxicology results came around the same time Hernandez’s close jailhouse friend and alleged lover Kyle Kennedy said he would not be surprised if the synthetic drug played some part in his death, according to the Boston Herald.  And speaking of Kennedy, none of the letters released have indicated that there was anything outside of a friendship going on between the two.

Kennedy is serving 3-5 years for armed robbery. Hernandez reportedly requested to be housed with Kennedy in his cell, but was denied. That’s no indication that anything was going on between the two. A lot of prisoners complain about not having a cellmate in isolation.

Hernandez  reportedly wrote suicide notes to his fiancee, daughter, and Kennedy, who allegedly was put on suicide watch after his death. It’s being reported that the notes were tucked next to a Bible that was opened to verse 3:16 – the words of which were also written on his forehead in red ink.

The Daily Mail reports, it has been speculated that Hernandez’s sexual orientation may have been a motive for the murder of Odin Loyd, for which he was imprisoned. In April 2015, Hernandez was convicted for shooting and killing Lloyd, a semi-professional football player, on June 17, 2013.

Lloyd may have known that Hernandez was carrying on an affair with a male friend who was forced to testify before the grand jury in the Lloyd case.

Five days before he died, he had been acquitted in a double-murder. His death came on the same day his former teammates visited the White House after winning their fifth Super Bowl.

There are also reports that a civil fight could be brewing with family members of the victims wanting to cash in on a portion of the estimated 3.5 million that could be released to his estate from the NFL.  However, currently the estate is valued at $0.

Inside Job? Two Women Officially Charged With Murder After Using Nerve Agent To Kill Kim Jong Nam

(SL) – The half-brother of North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un was in the busy Kuala Lumpur airport terminal heading back home to Macau on Feb. 13th when the two women approached him from behind and wiped what is believed to be a deadly nerve agent on his face.

Known as VX -a tasteless and odorless liquid with an amber-like color, it severely disrupts the body’s nervous system and is used as a nerve agent in chemical warfare.

A banned substance, authorities are trying to figure out how whoever gave the VX to the women got their hands on it; and if it came directly from North Korea Officials considering speculation is rampant that North Korea was behind the killing, particularly after Malaysia said Friday that VX had killed Kim. Experts say the oily poison was almost certainly produced in a sophisticated state weapons laboratory.

Someone also tried to break into the building where Jong Nam’s body is being held further leading to conspiracy theories that are looming.

Isolated North Korea has a long history of ordering killings of people it views as threats to its regime. Kim Jong Nam was not known to be seeking political power, but his position as eldest son of the family that has ruled North Korea since it was founded could have made him appear to be a danger.

Earlier this week, a high-level North Korean delegation arrived in Kuala Lumpur seeking custody of the body. North Korea opposed Malaysian officials even conducting an autopsy, while Malaysia has resisted giving up the body without getting DNA samples and confirmation from next of kin.

Malaysian officials have confirmed that the victim of the attack was Kim Jong Nam. North Korea, however, has identified him only as a North Korean national with a diplomatic passport bearing the name Kim Chol.

Kim Jong Nam was estranged from Kim Jong Un. He reportedly fell out of favor with their father, the late Kim Jong II, in 2001, when he was caught trying to use a fake passport to enter Japan for a visit to Tokyo Disneyland.

Siti nodded as her translator told her: “You are accused of murdering a North Korean man at the departure hall” of Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Vietnamese suspect doan Thi Huog spoke English telling the court, “I understand but I am not guilty,” after the murder charge was read. She looked briefly at the public gallery as she was led out and bowed her head.

ct-suspects-charged-with-murder-in-airport-ner-002.jpgThe Pyongyang delegation is also seeking the release of a North Korean arrested in the case, 45-year-old Ri Jong Chol. Malaysia has not described his alleged role in the killing, and it was not clear if or when he could be charged.

Authorities are seeking seven other North Korean suspects, four of whom fled the country the day of Kim’s death and are believed to be back in North Korea. Others sought include the second secretary of North Korea’s embassy and an employee of North Korea’s state-owned airline, Air Koryo.

Kim Jong Nam is believed to have two sons and a daughter with two women living in Beijing and Macau.

Both women were wearing bulletproof vests as they were escorted from the court to Kajang Prison. Each faces a mandatory death sentence if convicted.

Tamir Rice Grand Jury Reportedly Never Actually Voted On Whether To Indict Officers

(Bill Mathis-Lilley) – The grand jury that declined to indict two police officers in the death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice never actually voted on whether to bring charges, an investigative report from Cleveland says, leaving open the question of how the controversial decision was actually reached.

Cuyahoga county prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty at a press conference in Cleveland on May 9, 2013

The alt-weekly Cleveland Scene‘s report revolves around the concept of the “no-bill,” which is the name for a grand jury’s formal decision—arrived at by voting—not to bring charges in a given case. (The opposite of a “no-bill” is a “true bill,” i.e. a decision to indict.) When Cuyahoga County prosecutor Timothy McGinty announced on Dec. 28 that officers Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback would not be charged in Rice’s death, he said only that the grand jury “declined to indict” the officers, leading many observers to assume that a no-bill had been voted on. But the Cleveland Scene‘s reporters could find no documentation of such a decision, and a spokesman for the Cuyahoga prosecutor’s office responded to the publication’s queries by saying that there had been no vote.

Two area law professors told the Scene they had never heard of a grand jury behaving in such a way. What’s more, reporters were unable to find any official documentation in the Cleveland court system of the grand jury having concluded its business:

We were then directed to the Cuyahoga County grand jury office. Wednesday morning, a clerk there told Scene that the “mysterious document” may or may not exist and that, even if it does, it could only be provided to us via court order by Administrative and Presiding Judge John J. Russo … Russo, who spoke to Scene by phone, professed to be as confused as we were. “When you say ‘document,’ I’m not sure what you mean. I don’t know what that is. It’s either a true bill or a no bill,” he said.

But actually, no.

His staff determined Wednesday that a “no-bill” had never been filed.

What any of this means for Rice’s case is unclear. A lawyer representing the Rice family said the lack of a no-bill could constitute another indication that McGinty—who formally recommended against indicting Loehmann and Garmback andpresented expert reports to the grand jury that backed up his recommendation—had not taken the idea of prosecution seriously.

A federal investigation into Rice’s death is reportedly ongoing; Rice’s family has also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the officers involved.

Tampa Bay’s Kwon Alexander Has The Game Of His Life Less Than 48 Hours After Brother Is Killed

(SL) – Tampa Bay’s Kwon Alexander was a force to be reckoned with in Sunday’s battle against the Falcons in Atlanta. The
Rookie LB had a career game just a day and a half after his little brother was shot to death in Oxford Alabama.

Bucs LB Alexander has huge game after teenage brother killed.

It broke my heart to see him crying on the field. He is obviously heart broken. I don’t know how he made it through. Pure strength, dedication and out of the love he has for his baby brother who Kwon’s says just wanted him to ball out every time he touched the field.

brod5Alexander dedicated the game and game ball to his brother. He finished with a team- (and career-) high 11 tackles to go along with an interception and a fumble recovery. The 21-year old tweeted his victory dedication to his younger sibling.

The Buccaneers upset the Falcons, 23-20, in overtime.

And the rookie fourth-round linebacker played a huge part. After having a 90-yard interception return reversed on a penalty,

Gunman Shot Dead After Shooting Spree In Colorado Springs

(SL) – Witnesses say the gunman was eerily calm as he walked down the street and opened fired on three people.  The deceased are two women and a cyclist. Reportedly, he strolled the pavement armed with two guns and approached his victims calmly before shooting them.

A gunman shot dead a cyclist and two women in Colorado Springs on Saturday before he was gunned down.

“He’s walking in the street. Two guns, walking calmly, like walking [a] dog. Not worried, not scared – nothing,” Matt Abshire told ABC News.

Abshire explained to local media how he tailed the suspect after seeing him attack his first victim, the ‘college age’ cyclist. Dialing 911, Abshire continued to follow the man as he brazenly walked 100 yards before turning to two women and firing four shots.

The rear window of a Colorado Springs Police car is shattered after a shooting.

“I looked out my kitchen window and I saw a man in a green jacket firing an AR-15…waited a few seconds, went out my house, looked to my left and saw a man down the street, probably 50 feet. I started calling him and I called the cops,” Abshire told The Colorado Springs Gazette.

One witness said the gunman didn’t appear angry, more like ‘a man on a mission’ as he walked the streets.

The suspect has not been identified. But he was shot by authorities after police showed up on the scene and he attempted to turn his gun on them.

Another witness, Naomi Bettis said, “He just looked like he was somebody that was going to be on a mission.”

3 Teens Charged In Shaneku McCurty Gas Station Murder

(AJC) – Three DeKalb County teenagers have been charged with murder in the Friday morning shooting death of Shaneku 9083487_GMcCurty outside a gas station on Redan Road.

McCurty, 25, was outside the Chevron Food Mart at Redan Road and South Indian Creek Drive when she was confronted by several suspects. She resisted and was shot.

DeKalb County Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Public Safety Cedric Alexander said Saturday that two brothers — ages 15 and 16 — were arrested in the case, as well as another 16-year-old. The latter is believed to be the shooter.

Surveillance video show Shaneku standing next to her car.

All three suspects have been charged with felony murder, and the district attorney’s office will ultimately decide whether or not to charge them as adults, Alexander said. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is not naming the suspects because it was unclear if that decision had been made.

Alexander said the brothers turned themselves in to the homicide unit late Friday, and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office fugitive unit, U.S. Marshals task force and Atlanta Police Department continued to pursue leads through the night.
