21 Savage Believes ICE Is Out For Revenge Because Of His Lyrics

(AP) – Rapper 21 Savage believes Immigrations and Customs Enforcement is seeking revenge on him because he criticized the agency in some of his music. His team said in a statement yesterday that ICE has corrupt motives because of his song called A Lot, in which he condemns its treatment of children at the border.

The song was released just five days before ICE arrested Savage on claims that he is from the United Kingdom and overstayed his U.S. visa after coming to the states legally in 2005. His attorney said on Monday that the government knew about his immigration status because he had applied for a U-Visa in 2017, and was keeping him detained in an effort to get him to give up his right to stay in the U.S.

Tearing Families Apart: Father Deported After 29 Years In The U.S. With A Possible 10 Year Return Ban

(Detroit, MI) – A 39-year old father of two has been sent back to Mexico after living in the United States for 29 years.

Jorge Garcia was brought over to the United States by a relative when he was 10 years old. He’s been here ever since, married and has two kids. Past work includes gardening and he has NO arrest record. 48342FAA00000578-5275911-image-a-45_1516131884198

His wife Cindy and their kids 12 and 15 had a tearful goodbye as their father was ordered to leave for no apparent reason outside of just being Mexican. Yes, technically, he’s still illegal but he and his wife have been working since 2005 to legalize his status.

He alerted himself to ICE and in 2009 he was told to expect deportation.  However, the Obama Administration was lenient and gave them several extensions to become an American citizen. In November, under Trump’s administration he was told he had to go. And to add injury to insult, he could be banned from reentering the U.S. for 10 years. 4832DE8E00000578-5275911-image-a-52_1516132243752

Jorge doesn’t qualify for DACA as the age requirement means he would’ve had to have been under age 31 in June of 2012 to request permanent status. He was 32.

Protesters joined the family at the airport with signs that said “Stop tearing families apart.” Cindy Garcia says the whole scenario has been a nightmare.

Garcia was escorted through the checkout desk by two ICE agents.  The agency hasn’t responded to inquiries about Garcia’s case.

Fifty-One Percent Of Trump Supporters Believe Kellyanne Conway’s Fake News About Fictional Bowling Green Massacre

(SL) – The Trump Administration has once again put a foot in its mouth after Donald Trump’s go-to girl released more ‘Fake News’ to the masses as she tried to justify Trump’s attempt to keep Immigrants out of the country.  On at least 3 separate occasions, Conway  spoke of a massacre that NEVER happened and it wasn’t until she was memed to high heaven that she attempted to backtrack. The international Business Times has the story.

When White House counselor Kellyanne Conway last week cited the “Bowling Green Massacre” as a reason why President Donald Trump’s executive order banning travel from seven majority-Muslim countries was necessary, the response was immediate. The criticism poured in and an internet meme was born as her fictional account of a non-existent terrorist attack was widely condemned and mocked.

But it appears not everyone got the message that the event never happened.

Indeed, a poll released Friday indicated that a majority of Trump’s supporters believe it took place. Asked by Public Policy Polling about Trump’s travel ban, which an appeals court refused to reinstate Thursday, 51 percent of Trump voters said “the Bowling Green Massacre shows why we need Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration.” Only 23 percent disagreed with the statement.

170203092312-kellyanne-conway-msnbc-bowling-green-massacre-exlarge-169For voters of the three other candidates in the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, the percentages of those who agreed with the statement were all in the single digits.

Speaking to MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Conway brought up the fake atrocity as an example of attacks that Trump’s controversial policy would help prevent.

“I bet there was very little coverage — I bet — I bet it’s brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,” she said.

The truth lay some way apart from the fiction. While there were Iraqi citizens living in Bowling Green, Kentucky, who were arrested for attempting to send weapons to al Qaeda in Iraq, there was never any attack.

Conway later attempted to explain her comments by stating she simply misspoke, intending to instead say “Bowling Green terrorists.”

On @hardball @NBCNews @MSNBC I meant to say “Bowling Green terrorists” as reported here:

However, it later emerged that Conway had also previously referenced the nonexistent attack in separate interviews with Cosmopolitan and TMZ.

As Trump’s travel ban continues to be thwarted by the courts, the new poll indicated that only 45 percent of voters are in support of the executive order, while 66 percent said they believe the country is already safe.
