(Gastonia, NC) – The search is still on for a missing 6-year old boy that vanished while he was at a park with his father.
Maddox Ritch has autism and doesn’t speak. His father Ian says he disappeared after he ran off and got too far ahead. His father said that he normally slows down and waits for them to catch up, but this time he didn’t. Describing the last couple of days as torture, Ian pleaded for his son’s safe return.
They’ve been playing audio of Maddox’s parents’ voices in hopes that if he is hiding somewhere or hears it he will react. Chief Robert Helton urged residents to look in their sheds, barns or wooded areas where the boy could be hiding.
