Search Still On For Missing Autistic Boy

(Gastonia, NC) – The search is still on for a missing 6-year old boy that vanished while he was at a park with his father.

Maddox Ritch has autism and doesn’t speak. His father Ian says he disappeared after he ran off and got too far ahead.  His father said that he normally slows down and waits for them to catch up, but this time he didn’t.  Describing the last couple of days as torture, Ian pleaded for his son’s safe return.

They’ve been playing audio of Maddox’s parents’ voices in hopes that if he is hiding somewhere or hears it he will react. Chief Robert Helton urged residents to look in their sheds, barns or wooded areas where the boy could be hiding.

“I’m still hurting when you’re reaching out to my child. This is my child. I am your mother Kamiyah! I am your mother,” she cried out in a downtown Jacksonville court during a hearing in May, News 4 Jax reported.

She received one year for each year she kept the child away from her birth parents, Mobley and Craig Aiken.

8-Year Old Cherish Perrywinkle Suffered Horribly At The Hands Of Her Rapist And Murderer, Graphic Details Leave Courtroom Shook

(Jacksonville, FL) – The rape, kidnapping and murder trial of  now 66-Year old Donald Smith continued Tuesday. And what the courtroom heard shook pretty much everyone present, some to the point of tears.

The graphic details of the rape and murder of Cherish Perrywinkle are unimaginable and what her accuser did following her death is just as awful. The medical examiner testified that Cherish had been raped to a point that her genitals were distorted.  Semen, reportedly was found in her vagina, anus and mouth. reports, bruising, excessive tearing of tissue and broken blood vessels from hemorrhaging — were shown in photographs and explained in length to the jury Tuesday. Valerie Rao, the chief medical examiner for the 4th Judicial Circuit explained her findings from Cherish’s autopsy.308x174_JPG-SINGLE_3837231176779153305

“Bruising right here, right here, right here, a scratch here and a small bruise here,” she said pointing out just the left leg of Cherish.

Still left to show and describe to the jury were the bruises from excessive sucking on Cherish’s chest; the bruises on her buttocks; on her arms; her other leg; the ligature marks on her neck from the strangulation.

“There was tremendous force on her neck such that she could not breathe. She suffered swelling of the brain,” Rao said.

She explained how the vessels in the eyes are delicate and what happens to them when a person is being suffocated. On Monday, State Attorney Melissa Nelson said, “He gagged her, raped her, he sodomized her, then he strangled her. He gagged her with such force, her gums and nostrils bled. He strangled her with such force her eyeballs bled,” Nelson said. “Cherish did not die quickly, and she did not die easily. In fact, hers was a brutal and tortured death.”

As testimony continued, it was revealed that Smith’s jail conversations were recorded while the sex offender was awaiting trial.

Smith was asked about Cherish, “if she had some butt on her.”“She had a lot for a white girl,” Smith was recorded saying.

The audio as well as a recording of Smith saying that 12- to 13-year-old girls were his target and that he wouldn’t mind running into a particular girl at Walmart were the last pieces of the state’s evidence presented to the jurors before the state rested its case Tuesday afternoon. After a short recess, the defense rested its case too without calling any witnesses.

“I don’t want to testify,” Smith, 61, told Judge Mallory Cooper.

(Jacksonville, FL) – It’s every parent’s nightmare and became a reality for Rayne Perrywinkle in June of 2013.  She was shopping with her three daughters in a Family Dollar store unaware that they were being watched by a registered sex offender who had previously done time for lewd and lascivious conduct and even posed as a child welfare worker in 2009 where he asked a child sexually explicit questions on the telephone and was arrested on felony charges, which were later reduced to misdemeanors. AR-801245444That man, Donald Smith, now 61, had Rayne and her children in his sights and a plan in motion after he noticed that she was struggling to pay for items she wanted to purchase for her children.

Perrywinkle testified that Smith, who is charged with first degree murder, kidnapping and rape was waiting outside of the bargain store where he offered to take them to a nearby Walmart and make purchases with a gift card.

Human Trafficking Top Concern For Justice Department

(Washington, DC) – The Justice Department is looking to combat human trafficking. Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrapped up a day-long summit yesterday, calling it a high priority for the department.

Sessions says, “The day I was sworn it as Attorney General, President Trump sent me an executive order to dismantle these transnational criminal organizations. It is a high priority of ours. You can be sure that this includes human trafficking groups.”

Sessions says a prime target is use of the internet as a tool for trafficking children. The Center for Missing and Exploited Children reports a nine-fold increase between 2010 and 2015 in suspected child sex trafficking, largely through internet use. The Attorney General says trafficking is another reason to boost security along the southern border. The conference brought together law enforcement officials, medical professionals and representatives from corporations like Facebook, UPS, Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola.

Wesley Mathews Indicted On Capital Murder

(Dallas, TX) – The adopted father of a North Texas girl who was found dead in a culvert is now under indictment in connection with her death. Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson told reporters Friday that Wesley Mathews is accused of killing three-year-old Sherin Mathews last October because she wouldn’t drink her milk.

Mathews originally told police that the 3-year old that was adopted from an Indian orphanage disappeared after he sent her to stand by a tree across an alley. The girl’s mother is under indictment on child abandonment charges.Sherin_Wesley_N1_760x400Mathews initially said his daughter disappeared after he sent her outside as punishment for not drinking milk around 3 a.m. on Oct. 7. But after her body was found, he told police she choked to death and that he removed her body from the family’s home in Richardson, about 15 miles (24 kilometers) north of Dallas.

Authorities haven’t said what they believe happened to the girl, and court documents only allege that Mathews caused his daughter’s death using a deadly weapon “by a manner and means unknown to the grand jury.”

14 Black And Hispanic Girls Kidnapped In DC Over The Last 24 Hours?

(SL) – I’m with DL Hughley. They found Tom Brady’s jersey but these little girls are have been disappearing left and right and their just now starting to highlight it?

As of Thursday, over a dozen District teenagers, ranging in age from 14 to 18, are missing. But the numbers are much larger than that.

10-Missing-Girls-Color-Washington-DC-VideoThe AP’s Jesse J. Holland reports, the District of Columbia logged 501 cases of missing juveniles, many of them black or Latino, in the first three months of this year, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, the city’s police force. Twenty-two were unsolved as of March 22, police said.

MissingDCGirlsBlack members of Congress are calling for the Justice Department to help police investigate a large number of missing children in Washington, D.C.

The letter, dated Tuesday and obtained Thursday by The Associated Press, was sent by Congressional Black Caucus chairman Cedric Richmond, D-La., and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, who represents the District in Congress.

They called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director James Comey to “devote the resources necessary to determine whether these developments are an anomaly or whether they are indicative of an underlying trend that must be addressed.”

“Ten children of color went missing in our nation’s capital in a period of two weeks and at first garnered very little media attention. That’s deeply disturbing,” Richmond’s letter said. Derrica Wilson, co-founder of the Black and Missing Foundation, said that despite the assurances from police, it was alarming for so many children to go missing around the same time.

On Tuesday night, she noted, her group had four reports of missing children and only one had been found. “We can’t focus on the numbers. If we have one missing child, that’s one too many,” Wilson said.

Wilson said she is concerned about whether human trafficking is a factor, citing the case of 8-year-old Relisha Rudd, who has been missing since she vanished from a city homeless shelter in 2014.

hqdefaultA janitor who worked at the shelter was found dead of apparent suicide during the search for the girl.

“They prey on the homeless, they prey on low income children, they prey on the runaways, they prey online,” Wilson said.
