China Officially Removes Term Limits

(Beijing) – China’s parliament has officially cleared the way to make Xi Jinping  president for life. The rubber stamp body removed term limits from the Constitution Sunday. The move was signaled last month by the nation’s ruling Communist Party.

The decision has critics and the government clamped down on some articles while pushing other news praising the decision.

Duchess of Cambridge Takes Pride of Place At State Banquet Honoring Chinese Presidnet

(Daily Mail) – The Duchess of Cambridge dazzled in the Queen Mother’s tiara as she took pride of place on the top table next to Chinese president Xi Jinping and the Queen at the state banquet held in his honor this evening.

It was the first time the Duchess has attended a palace state dinner, which comes at the start of a four-day state visit by the Chinese leader and seen as being key to cementing economic ties between the two countries.
