(SL) -Beyonce and other Celebs as well as her family and daughter were on hand to watch the tennis champ marry Alexis. Looks like true love…wishing the best to them!
The couple got married at the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans in a Beauty and the Beast-themed bash.
In an exclusive interview, Serena told Vogue Magazine, “Alexis really wanted to do New Orleans. It’s his favorite city besides Brooklyn. It’s got a heavy European influence. It’s fun and has amazing food. He just loves the vibe.”
It comes after Alexis planned a romantic proposal. Serena came home one day to find her bags already packed and had absolutely no idea where she was going until she got on the flight.
She tells Vogue, “Alexis flew me out to Rome, back to the exact table where we’d met. We were both really nervous but also excited to take this huge step. It was such a beautiful moment.”
The bride wore Alexander McQueen. The bridesmaids and Alexis Jr. were gorgeous in Galia Lahav dresses.
(SL) – Troy Aikman tied the knot with ‘the love of his life’ over the weekend. And the football legend couldn’t be more happier.
Aikman has been dating Catherine (Capa) Mooty since Feb. 2016 and proposed while on vacation in Lake Como, Italy back in June.
The Dallas Morning News reports the pair exchanged vows in a small ceremony on the beach, followed by a reception at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara. The affair was low-key enough that the newlyweds were already back home in Dallas on Sunday.
The 50-year-old Dallas Cowboys veteran turned Fox TV game analyst looked dapper in a white jacket and black tie as his new wife stunned in a strapless satin gown that hugged her curves.
The wedding took place at the famous Biltmore Four Seasons Hotel in Montecito near Santa Barbara. Popular among the who’s who, it’s the same Biltmore where Kim Kardashian stayed with basketball star Kris Humphries after their 2011 nuptials.
This is Troy’s second marriage. His first wife was Cowboys publicist Rhonda Worthey. Together, they had daughters Alexa Marie, 15, and Jordan Ashley, 16. Mooty has two sons from a previous relationship.
Aikman is a football legend with an impressive career. He was the number one overall draft pick in 1989 and he played twelve consecutive seasons as quarterback with the Cowboys. During his career he was a six-time Pro Bowl selection, led the team to three Super Bowl victories, and was the Super Bowl XXVII MVP.
Aikman was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008 in New York City.
(SL) – The Daily Mail reports, Pippa and James Matthews’ spared no expense when it came to their lavish wedding reception and guests ate £40,000 Russian caviar, sipped magnums of expensive Champagne and some even enjoyed a game of ping-pong with seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer.
However, photos of the society wedding of the year were not plastered all over the internet as guests were banned from using their mobile phones. It was held at St Mark’s Church in Englefield.
The newly-weds even employed ‘phone police’ no enforce the rule and ensure not a single snap appeared in social media, reports the Mirror.
Federer was reportedly among the hundreds of guests who enjoyed a game of table tennis at the reception at the Middletons’ £6m family estate in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
But, putting on the party of the year doesn’t come cheap – with Pippa’s nuptials estimated to have cost £700,000. Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle wasn’t in attendance at the wedding, but was spotted heading to the reception.
