Shareef O’Neal Will Miss Freshman Season To Undergo Heart Surgery

(Los Angeles, CA)  – NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal’s son Shareef O’Neal’s college career has been delayed after a medical diagnosis that will force him to miss the upcoming basketball season.  Shareef made the announcement on his Instagram page.  The 18-year old is thankful UCLA doctors caught the condition early and he reassured fans that the ordeal isn’t life threatening but just a bump in the road.

Shareef says after heart surgery he’ll be out for a couple of months and during rehab he’ll be observing, going to class and being a regular student. The Freshman says he began feeling funny during summer practice and subsequent testing showed something serious was going on.

The 6’9 baller says he’s a little bummed out because he felt like he was at the top of his game heading into UCLA after winning the high school state championship. But he’s optimistic and told all the kids out there that the road to success isn’t always going to be easy.

LiAngelo And LaMelo Ball Headed Overseas To Play Bal

(SL) – LaVar Ball has told ESPN that his sons LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have signed with an agent with the plan to play on the same team overseas.

LaMelo initially was targeted to play at UCLA in two years by his father, but that plan has now changed. Agent Harrison Gaines represents all three of Ball’s sons, including Lakers rookie Lonzo.

LaVar pulled LiAngelo from UCLA on Monday, telling ESPN that he was frustrated that the school hadn’t made a determination on the length of his son’s suspension following an arrest for shoplifting while in China last month.

Thanks For The 13 Million In Free Advertisement, Trump Spat Gives Boost To Big Baller Brand

(SL) – President Trump may be helping basketball dad and sportswear entrepreneur LaVar Ball with his attacks on Twitter.

Trump has spent part of the past week chastising Ball for being “ungrateful” after Trump helped his son LiAngelo and two other UCLA players out of a Chinese jail.
The three had been facing shoplifting charges.  Ball’s Big Baller Brand has received the equivalent of 13 million-dollars in free advertising from media coverage of the war of words, according to sports sponsorship company Apex Marketing.
Ball told CNN, “Tell Donald Trump to have a great Thanksgiving because Big Baller is.”

Trump Who? LaVar Ball Says #45 Had No Hand In Helping LiAngelo In China Shoplifting Crime And Of Course Donald Isn’t Happy

(SL) -We’re about to find out if the world is prepared for a Donald Trump-LaVar Ball feud. In an interview with ESPN’s Arash Markazi, Ball downplayed Trump’s role in intervening in the matter after three UCLA freshmen, including son LiAngelo, were detained for shoplifting in China.
“Who?” Ball said of Trump. “What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.”
During a two-day trip to Beijing last week, President Trump asked his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping, to intervene to resolve the case.
**UPDATE** – Trump responds to LaVar Ball says he should’ve left his son in jail.

AOL reports, if standard practices are applied, the three, under suspicion of shoplifting could face between three and 10 years in prison if convicted. The sentencing guidelines could shift depending on the amount that the Chinese could prove was allegedly stolen.

Authorities believe the players shoplifted from a Louis Vuitton store near the UCLA team hotel outside of Shanghai. The Bruins are in China to play Georgia Tech on Saturday in the season opener. The players were arrested Tuesday after local law enforcement came to the team hotel and questioned both UCLA and Georgia Tech players before taking the three away.
