Pats Send 7th Grade Female QB To Super Bowl

(Foxborough, Mass) – Dejah Rondeau is in for a treat. The seventh grade female QB is getting the dream of a lifetime courtesy of the New England Patriots. She’s going to Super Bowl LIII!
Dejah, who learned she was headed to the big game while playing catch with her favorite player, Julian Edelman, (who she wears #11 in honor of) says she never in a million years thought that she would go to a Super Bowl and that she was Super Happy.

The good news comes after the Exeter, New Hampshire pre-teen was having a difficult time with her peers who were bullying her for playing quarterback on a youth football team.
After hearing about the trouble, the Pats invited Dejah to Foxborough to meet Julian Edelman and team owner Robert Kraft. It was during that visit that Edelman surprised her with a pair of tickets to Super Bowl 53.
No word yet on who Dejah plans to take to the game with her but it will more than likely be her dad. Dejah is one of 3 girls playing youth football in her town.

It’s Super Bowl LIII And That No Call That Cost The Saints A Trip To The Big Game Is Still Fresh On Reggie Bush’s Mind

(Atlanta, GA) – We’re four days away from Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta Georgia and people are still waiting to see what the NFL and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell are going to do about the double penalty that cost the New Orleans Saints a trip to the big game.  Rams CB Nickell Robey-Coleman says he will pay the fine for the helmet to helmet hit he put on Saints’ WR Tommylee lewis, but that’s hardly what Saints fans and former players want to hear.

If Robey-Coleman has been fined, then clearly a penalty should’ve been in place.  Granted the refs have admitted that they missed both calls, helmet-to-helmet and pass interference, but there’s been no reversal of the no-call and the Saints are still in New Orleans while the Rams prepare to take on the Patriots Sunday for Super Bowl 53.

Former NFL baller and NFL Network Analyst Reggie Bush says neither one of those refs deserve to be working in the NFL and that he’s anxious to see what Roger Goodell is going to do.

Georgia Senator Worries Shutdown Could Threaten Super Bowl

(Washington, DC-AP) — A Georgia senator is getting worried the partial government shutdown entering its 27th day could threaten the Super Bowl. Republican Johnny Isakson pointed out the biggest tourism event in the world this year is coming to Atlanta. He wondered what would happen if the largest airport in the world goes out of business because of TSA strikes. TSA officials are reporting that the number of its employees calling in sick has doubled over the same time last year.

Most TSA employees make less than 30-thousand dollars a year and are struggling to pay bills while they continue to work without getting paid. Isakson said he walked through Atlanta’s airport and a number of TSA employees recognized him and approached him. He said, “We’re just doing the wrong thing, punishing the wrong people, and it’s not right.”

Maroon 5 To Perform At Super Bowl Halftime Show With Travis Scott And Big Boi

(Atlanta, GA) –  After a struggle to solidify a lineup for the halftime show for this year’s Super Bowl, it looks like posters can now be printed as a few acts have signed on to be this year’s entertainment for Super Bowl 53.
Many performers stayed away from the offer as fallout continues over the treatment of Colin Kaepernick.  But, now it has been confirmed that Maroon 5 will take center stage at the halftime show at Super Bowl LIII.
The NFL made the announcement today that the three-time Grammy Award-winning rock group will in fact headline the show at  Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on February 3rd.  Other artists joining Maroon 5 are Atlanta native and half of hip-hop super group Outkast, Big Boi and Grammy-nominated rapper Travis Scott.

Jay-Z Reportedly Trying To Get Travis Scott Not To Perform At Super Bowl Halftime Show

(AP) – Jay-Z is reportedly trying to convince Travis Scott to back out of his 2019 Super Bowl halftime performance. The rapper will be taking the stage alongside Maroon 5, the headlining act, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in February.

Jay-Z wants him to pull out, though, because of the NFL’s handling of players kneeling during the National Anthem to protest police brutality. Maroon 5 has reportedly been having a hard time finding musical guests who want to perform with them, because artists reportedly don’t want to be associated with the league.

Travis Scott Set To Perform At The Super Bowl

(Atlanta, GA) – Word out of the Super Bowl’s Host city for 2019 claims that the NFL has finally found someone to join Maroon 5 as the halftime entertainment.
According to reports, Travis Scott will bring his Astroworld  to the ATL for Super Bowl 53.  It’s been a struggle to find anyone willing to sign up following criticism that all Atlanta musicians were overlooked and the continued fallout with how quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been ousted for protesting against the mistreatment of people of color.
Rumors are also hovering over the possibility of Cardi B and Big Boi of Oukast joining the show as well.  Cardi B will already be in town that week doing a show with Bruno Mars and Big Boi resides in the ATL and is one half of the super group Outkast and connected to Goodie Mob.
