(New York City, NY) – A New York judge says President Trump can be deposed in a lawsuit brought by a former contestant on his reality TV show, “The Apprentice.” Summer Zervos claims Trump groped and kissed her after she appeared on the show.

On Tuesday, New York Judge Jennifer Schecter ordered both sides in the case to submit to depositions. Trump’s legal team has appealed the case, claiming it’s politically motivated

Freeman “Devastated” By Harassment Claims

(Los Angeles, CA) – Actor Morgan Freeman says he’s devastated by the sexual harassment allegations against him. A CNN report Thursday said eight women have accused the Oscar-winning actor of sexual harassment at his production company.

On Friday, Freeman released a statement saying he’s devastated that 80 years of his life are at risk of being undermined in the blink of an eye because of the allegations. In the statement, Freeman insisted that he did not create an unsafe work environment, did not assault women and did not offer advancement in exchange for sex, and that any suggestion that he did so is completely false.

NY AG Resigns Amid Abuse Allegations

(New York, NY) — New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is resigning just hours after four women said he physically assaulted them. In a statement, Schneiderman noted that he “strongly” contests the allegations made in “The New Yorker” magazine.

Two of the women claim Schneiderman choked and slapped them. They reportedly had to get medical attention for their injuries. All four women said the abuse happened while they were romantically involved with Schneiderman.

Schneiderman denied the accusations, saying he’s never assaulted anyone. But, he said he has “engaged in role-playing and other consensual sexual activity.”

Ashley Judd Sues Harvey Weinstein

(SW) – Actress Ashley Judd is filing suit against Harvey Weinstein for allegedly sexually harassing her and damaging her career. She claims the disgraced film producer got back at her for refusing his sexual advances in the 90’s by telling the casting directors for the “Lord of the Rings” movies she was horrible to work with.

Judd says the alleged comment convinced the directors not to put her in the films, and also restricted her ability to find other work.

Her suit also includes claims from Uma Therman, Salma Hayek and other actresses who say Weinstein threatened to harm their careers if they turned down sexual advances.

The 66-year-old is facing multiple other suits from actresses accusing him of sexual harassment and assault. He is also currently under investigation in New York, Los Angeles and London.

Trump Slams “Post” Over Report About Woman, But Track Record Aligns With Woman’s Story

(Washington, DC) – President Trump is slamming the “Washington Post” for featuring the story of Rachel Crooks on today’s front page. Crooks has accused Trump of forcibly kissing her at Trump Tower in 2006. With his track record, her claim is plausible.

In 2005 Trump was Caught on Camera saying: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”

However, in a morning tweet, Trump called the “Post” fake news and said it never happened. He also argued that security cameras would have recorded it.

Naturally, he was then challenged to release the security footage. He has yet to honor the request. Trump said he doesn’t recall meeting Crooks and called it “another false accusation.” Crooks is running for state representative in Ohio as a Democrat. She is one of more than a dozen women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct in the years before he was elected President.

Telling It Like It Is: Ashleigh Banfield Calls Out Ansari Accuser For Throwing ‘Bad Date’ Into The #MeToo Movement

(SL) – Finally, someone with the courage to really acknowledge an accusation for what it is. Ladies, be clear. If you willingly participate in sexual activity with someone, it is irresponsible of you to turn around and play victim at the expense of his or her livelihood. It’s not right. Feeling guilty about or not enjoying what you chose to do sexually with someone does not constitute rape or assault.

Watch HLN’s Ashleigh Banfield tell Aziz Ansari’s 23-year old accuser what most of us were thinking:

I’ve seen blogs claiming that Ansari and other men to need to pay closer attention and realize that it’s not okay. What’s not okay? It’s not okay for a man to let a woman willing to perform oral sex on him do it? Let’s stop making the narrative one-sided. Ansari isn’t a mind reader. If your lips are saying yes, but your mind is thinking something else…how is he supposed to know that? He’s not a genie in a bottle or a psychic. Let’s be responsible for our own actions. If you are not being forced, take responsibility for what YOU chose to do in that moment.

The Story Of Recy Taylor And Why You Should Know Her

(SL) – Recy Taylor died December 28th, 2017, 3 days before her 98th birthday but her story will forever live on as a staple example of the sexual abuse, rape and overall injustice that transcends as Oprah Winfrey said, every culture, geography, race, religion, politics or workplace.

In 1944, 24-year-old Recy Taylor and two friends were walking back from a late-night church service in Abbeville, Ala., when seven young white men in a car stopped them and threatened them with a gun. Taylor was abducted, blindfolded forced to enter the car, and the men drove off with her into the woods where they raped on her . They kept her for 4-5 hours and no one knows exactly what all they did to her, but it was horrific.

They warned her that if she said anything about it they would kill her.

“Some white boys took me out there and messed with me,” said Taylor in a 2011 NPR interview with journalist Michel Martin.

The brutal crime was eventually reported to the civil rights organisation, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

If You Can’t Beat Em’…Join Em’ Kaepernick Wants In On Diddy NFL Ownership Plan

(SL) – Colin Kaepernick is having no luck finding a team to hire him so now he wants to buy an NFL club. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback says he’s interested in joining an ownership group aiming to buy the Carolina Panthers.

stephen-curry-diddy-panthers-1200x806Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly is heading the group. Kaepernick tweeted Monday that he wants in. So does Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, who grew up and played college ball near Charlotte, where the Panthers are based.

Panthers owner Jerry Richardson announced Sunday night he plans to sell the team after the season ends. The 81-year-old owner is facing claims of sexual harassment and directing racial slurs at club employees.

Every #MeToo Story Needs To Be Individualized

(SL) – I think for the bulk of the population the sexual harassment allegations have been pretty exhausting. Mostly, in part, because not all of them are with merit. If you examine some of these stories carefully, you’ll find that some of these women simply sold themselves short in an effort to get ahead or for personal satisfaction, over exaggerated a man’s attempt to make a pass at her or simply just lied.salma-hayek-on-harvey-weinsteinI have no doubt that Harvey Weinstein has had some questionable behavior but when Salma Hayek voiced her disgust and accused him of forcing her into a lesbian love scene for ‘Frida’ it really made me think about just how many women possibly played themselves with this man to get what they want. Reading Salma’s story, I never once read ‘he held me down and forced me to engage in this behavior on screen’.

I read accusations that claimed the only way she could get the movie made was if she ‘added’ the lesbian scene which at any given time she could’ve said ‘ no thanks’. BUT she was so eager to complete the project that she added the scene. Fast forward, and now years later, she wants to say ‘He forced me to do it’. NO, he didn’t. You agreed to add the scene to get your movie made. russell-simmonsI’ve also been paying attention to the accusations made against Russell Simmons. Keri Claussen Khaligi said she ‘acquiesced’ and performed oral sex on him. That is not rape.

(SL) – A major Hollywood heavyweight is taking a leave of absence after a report about sexual harassment accusations. Harvey Weinstein is at the center of a “New York Times” story that cites dozens of current and former employees and associates who accuse the studio exec of inappropriate sexual behavior, including actresses Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan.

In a statement to the “Times,” Weinstein said he is planning to take the leave from the Weinstein Company and is working with a therapist to address his past behavior. He said he sincerely apologizes for the pain caused by his past behavior with colleagues. The “Times” says Weinstein has reached confidential settlements with at least eight women.

The Weinstein Company’s films include many critically acclaimed titles including “The Artist,” “The King’s Speech” and “Silver Linings Playbook.”
