(Fort Lauderdale, FL) – The father of a student killed in the Valentine’s Day massacre at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida is going to court to expose a man he calls “a coward.” Andrew Pollack’s wrongful death lawsuit was filed yesterday and lists several defendants, including School Resource Officer Scot Peterson.

The former Broward County Sheriff’s deputy has been criticized for failing to enter the building where the shooting was taking place.

Pollack said he doesn’t want money, he just wants to expose Peterson as a coward who could have saved everybody, including his 18-year-old daughter, Meadow.

Parkland Suspect Getting Fan Mail

(Fort Lauderdale, FL) – Accused Parkland, Florida mass murderer Nikolas Cruz is getting a lot of fan mail at the Broward County Jail. Some of it includes love letters complete with suggestive pictures.

Facebook communities have also popped up for people to talk about how they can help the man accused of gunning down 17 people February 14th at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Cruz has reportedly received at least 800-dollars for his prison commissary account.

A few of the notes are religious in nature with concern for Cruz’s soul. Cruz hasn’t seen any of the sexually-charged photos as it is against jail policy.

Rock-Throwing PA Schools Now Adding Armed Security

(Orwigsburg, PA) – The superintendent of a Pennsylvania school system is re-thinking the “rocky” security plans of his district. Dr. David Helsel, Superintendent of Schools of the Blue Mountain School District in Orwigsburg, had made it publicly known last week that every classroom under his supervision was keeping a bucket of stones handy to potentially pelt any intruder who might try and enter.

Helsel took to social media this week to discuss the media and social media mentions of his district’s rock-throwing statute, saying he now fears the hype might inspire someone to test the security. Helsel says that as of yesterday, new and armed security has been added to district buildings and the policy will be subject to reevaluation down the road.

Charleston Church Shooter’s Sister Arrested For Bringing Weapons, Drugs To School

(Columbia, SC)  –  The Charleston church shooter’s teenage sister is accused of bringing weapons and marijuana to her South Carolina high school.  Eighteen-year-old Morgan Roof is free on five-thousand dollars bond after she was arrested Wednesday at her high school in Columbia.
The school resource officer at A.C. Flora High School arrested the girl after a school administrator said she had marijuana, pepper spray, and a knife.  In releasing her, the judge told the teenager she can’t return to school.  Morgan Roof’s brother, 23-year-old Dylann Roof, is on death row at a federal prison in Indiana for the murders of nine people at an historic black church in Charleston, in June of 2015.
Roof shot and killed worshipers during a Bible study meeting at Emanuel A.M.E. Church.  Roof said he killed them in hopes of starting a race war.

Spokesperson Dana Loesch Continues To Deflect As NRA Says It Will Not Raise Purchasing Age

(Washington, DC) – It appears that the NRA is completely comfortable with kids being able to purchase guns even after another 17 students were murdered behind the use of an AR-15. It also believes if parents and teachers voluntarily choose to be armed, it’s something schools will have to come up with and determine for themselves

Not only will Donald Trump not start the movement to remove the Assault military rifle as a buying option, the NRA refuses to even raise the legal age of purchase. Nikolas Cruz at just 19 years old had an arsenal of guns including an AR-15. Why he was able to purchase the weapon is still a question of focus as protests and concerns continue to spark the conversation and a direction of change.

What’s even more bizarre is NRA Spokesperson Dana Loesch wishes that the same amount of attention was given to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and their abdication of duty as trying to blame five-million innocent, law-abiding gun owners across the country.

Doesn’t appear that anyone is blaming the five million law abiding gun owners in the US.  Americans have a problem with Military weapons being sold to regular civilians and most importantly to teenagers.

Legal age to buy alcohol 21. Legal age to purchase a gun 18. We can stop there.

Marco Rubio Roughed Up At Contentious Florida Town Hall

(Sunrise, FL) – Republican Senator Marco Rubio is explaining his position in the debate over guns following last week’s deadly high school shooting in Florida. At a contentious town hall meeting televised by CNN, the crowd erupted into cheers when the father of a murdered student told Rubio that his comments reacting to the shooting have been “pathetically weak.”

They booed when Rubio criticized the assault weapons ban. They cheered again when he said if you closed every loophole in the law, you’d have to get rid of every semi-automatic rifle that’s sold in America.

Rubio was jeered as he hemmed and hawed when he was asked if he could refuse any money from the NRA.

How Many More Lives Must We Lose?Florida House Votes Down Motion To Consider Assault Weapon Ban

(Tallahassee, FL) – The Florida state House is rejecting a measure to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. The bill had not been heard in a committee and would’ve required a two-thirds majority vote to go directly to the House floor.assaultweapon_112717gettyThe measure would’ve banned the sale and possession of guns like the AR-15 that was used in last week’s high school shooting, in which 17 people were killed.

Some students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in Parkland were in the gallery as the motion to move the bill forward was voted down.

In the past 4 months over a hundred people have been killed in the United States with AR-15s:

  • Oct. 1, 2017: Stephen Paddock, 64, used a stockpile of guns including an AR-15 to kill 58 people and injure hundreds at a music festival in Las Vegas before he killed himself.
  • Nov. 5, 2017: Devin Kelley, 26, used an AR-15 style Ruger rifle to kill 26 people at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, before he was killed.
  • Feb. 14, 2018: Police say Nikolas Cruz, 19, used an AR-15-style rifle to kill at least 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

17 Dead In Horrific Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting

(Parkland, FL) – The sheriff of Broward County, Florida, says the scene of a high school shooting is horrific. Sheriff Scott Israel remarked that there are multiple deaths at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, but he refused to detail exactly how many people died.

Israel said a suspect is in custody in the case. The suspect was arrested off campus. SWAT teams are still clearing the high school. Sheriff Israel also remarked that he has spoken Florida Governor Rick Scott and President Trump, and they have pledged to provide as much support as needed.

There are reports that the shooter may have pulled a fire alarm and opened fire on students as they left their classrooms.  One student said there was confusion because an administrator was telling them to evacuate while a teacher was ushering them back into the classroom .

The suspect was put into the back of a squad car for a while, but then was removed from the car and placed in an ambulance.

4938A2E600000578-5392559-image-m-6_1518649267542A federal official said the gunman had been identified as Nicolas de Jesus Cruz, 19. A former student who had been expelled. Fellow students say, “He has always been a crazy kid. And I’ve always heard people say he would have done this. And unfortunately it was today.”

It appears warning signs were posted heavily on his Instagram account. Heavily armed police officers swarmed the school after the report of the shooting. Students were escorted away from the area with their hands up. Ambulances rushed some of the victims away from the scene.

The suspect is said to be a former student at the school. There’s no word on what prompted the shooting or the weapon that was used.

The White House is monitoring the unfolding drama in Parkland, Florida after a shooting at a high school. The White House says President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen have talked with Florida Governor Rick Scott.  In an afternoon tweet, President Trump called the tragedy terrible and offered prayers and condolences to victims and their families. He said no one should ever feel unsafe in an American school.

teenager-kills-at-least-17-after-opening-fire-at-a-florida-high-school-photosUPDATE: It’s now being reported that Cruz had made a disturbing comment on a YouTube post where he said that he wanted to be a ‘professional school shooter’. The creator of the page reported it to the FBI but the FBI is saying that they were unable to identify who he was.

The 19-year old was expelled last year for fighting. He had also lost his adopted mother in November after she died from either the Flu or Pneumonia. He claims that he felt unloved and wanted other people to feel the same way and that’s why he chose Valentine’s day.

Donald Trump is also under fire after tweeting that it was clear that Cruz had mental problems. The hypocrisy was pointed out because as we all know he rolled back an Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental issues to buy guns.

Cruz purchased his guns legally.
