(SL) – Marquise and Morgan Goodwin officially shared news that they were expecting a baby back in September. Since then, Morgan has been sharing pics of her pregnancy glow on her Instagram page as they were anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new son.
On Sunday, something went wrong. Images of Goodwin kneeling and crying before the game now make sense. Post game, the NFL player posted a pic of him touching his son’s tiny hand after he helped San Francisco snag their first win of the season.
After thanking friends and fans for their prayers and support, he said:
“Unfortunately we lost our baby boy due to some complications, and had to prematurely deliver him early this morning around 4am. Although we are hurt, I am grateful for the experience and grateful that God blessed me with a wife as courageous and resilient as Morgan. ‘The pain (physically, mentally, & emotionally) that she has endured is unbelievable. Please Pray for the Goodwin family.”
