(Los Angeles, CA-AP) – A teenage immigrant from Guatemala has died in federal custody. The 16-year-old was in the custody of federal agents in Texas, who said he was listed as an unaccompanied minor.
Within days of being taken to a shelter in Brownsville, the teenager became ill and was taken to a hospital. He was treated and released, but his condition didn’t improve, so he was taken to a different hospital, where he was placed in intensive care.
