(Plains, GA-AP) — Former President Jimmy Carter is going to teach Sunday School at his church in Georgia despite suffering a second fall this month. Maranatha Baptist Church initially said Carter would not be able to, but announced today that Carter said he “feels well enough to teach.”

Carter was hospitalized last week after falling and fracturing his pelvis. He fell in his home earlier this month and hit his head, which required stitches and left the former president with a black eye.

The following day, Carter and his wife Rosalynn volunteered at a Habitat for Humanity build in Nashville, Tennessee.

Former President Jimmy Carter Asks Secretary of State Brian Kemp to Either Resign or Drop Out of Governor’s Race

(Atlanta, GA) – All eyes will be on the state of Georgia on November 6th as the heated race to the Governor’s seat will finally come to a head.

This election has been under heavy watch and scrutiny because for one Brian Kemp is still the Secretary of State which means he oversees the voting process. A call for straight up fraud has also been issued because more than 70 percent of 50 thousand black voter registrations have been held for failure of an exact match to driver licenses and social security numbers.

There have also been charges of voter suppression, the purging of voting roles and faulty machines. The race is neck and neck and Former President Jimmy Carter says it is a conflict of interest for Brian Kemp to oversee an election that his a candidate in. Reportedly, Carter sent him a letter earlier this month requesting that he step down.

The polls show them neck and neck in the race.

Stacey Abrams would be the first blackĀ  and female Governor of Georgia if she wins.

Carter, Bush And Clinton To Attend Former GA Governor’s Funeral

(Atlanta, GA) – Three former presidents are set to attend today’s funeral services for former Georgia Governor Zell Miller. Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton are all expected to speak. Miller died on Friday at the age of 86 after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He will lie in state in the rotunda at the Georgia Capitol following the funeral services.

His funeral procession made its way through Atlanta this morning on the way to the Governor’s mansion.
