Trump Using Immigrant Children As Bargaining Chips

(Washington, DC) — The leader of New York City’s two-point-eight million Catholics says the Trump administration’s policy of separating kids and parents is “un-biblical.”

Cardinal Timothy Dolan says references to scripture by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to justify the practice is “un-American” and goes against human decency.

Dolan told CNN the Apostle Paul would not endorse the immigration policy. Sessions referenced the apostle in remarks last week, saying Paul preached to obey the laws of the government. Dolan said sessions might need a Sunday School refresher.

Sessions in fact needs Sunday School, Vacation bible school, bible study and quite frankly baptism to get himself straight. Omitting the most important parts of the scripture he quoted pulls on just how desperate the Trump administration is to push its agenda by any means necessary….even at the heartless bottom of all bottoms …act of separating children from their parents at the border and blaming democrats while at it.

Trump says he’s just following the law that democrats enforced, which is not true. And even more so, nowhere in the law does it say anything about child separation where immigrants are concerned. DHS says under the law, authorities may separate children from their parents or legal guardians for several reasons, including if those adults are referred for criminal prosecution, but that doesn’t seem to apply here.

The Department of Homeland Security says the Trump administration separated nearly two-thousand children from their parents or guardians at the border between April 19th and May 31st.  And a more grave concern…where are they exactly? Reportedly, the children are spread out in 100 different shelters across 17 different states.

Above all, the most disturbing part of the immigration debacle is the usage of these children and their families for leverage and getting a few bills passed and the wall built. The Department of Homeland Security says Attorney General Jeff Sessions directed federal attorneys on the border to prosecute all adults who enter the country illegally, including those with children. Trump says Democrats can fix the problem by working with Republicans on an immigration bill that funds the border wall. A cruel tactic indeed to try and get democrats to negotiate and it will surely backfire.

Love thy neighbor.

McCabe Responds To Being Fired Just Days Before Pension Kicks In

(Washington, DC) — Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe is blasting President Trump after he was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. In a lengthy statement, McCabe claims quote: “The OIG’s focus on me and this report became a part of an unprecedented effort by the Administration, driven by the President himself, to remove me from my position, destroy my reputation, and possibly strip me of a pension that I worked 21 years to earn.”

The OIG is a reference to Office of Inspector General, a post occupied by a former President-Obama appointee. McCabe goes on to say that he is being “attacked” and “singled out” because of the role he played after the firing of former FBI Director James Comey.

The FBI recommended that McCabe be fired after a report said he misled investigators about his decision to authorize FBI officials to speak to the media about an investigation into the Clinton Foundation. The DOJ added that “McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor – including under oath – on multiple occasions.” His firing impacts when he will receive his full pension.

Human Trafficking Top Concern For Justice Department

(Washington, DC) – The Justice Department is looking to combat human trafficking. Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrapped up a day-long summit yesterday, calling it a high priority for the department.

Sessions says, “The day I was sworn it as Attorney General, President Trump sent me an executive order to dismantle these transnational criminal organizations. It is a high priority of ours. You can be sure that this includes human trafficking groups.”

Sessions says a prime target is use of the internet as a tool for trafficking children. The Center for Missing and Exploited Children reports a nine-fold increase between 2010 and 2015 in suspected child sex trafficking, largely through internet use. The Attorney General says trafficking is another reason to boost security along the southern border. The conference brought together law enforcement officials, medical professionals and representatives from corporations like Facebook, UPS, Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola.

Marijuana Sellers Are Unfazed By Federal Prosecution Threats

(Denver, CO) –– Marijuana entrepreneurs and investors are unfazed by threats of federal prosecution. Instead, more marijuana sellers are starting to believe the industry is too big to shut down.

The sellers are placing their faith in state lawmakers to ensure that the lucrative industry stays afloat. On Thursday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinded a series of Obama-era legal memos that give state-licensed marijuana businesses a pass from federal prosecutors.

Colorado legalized marijuana in 2014 and has about 35-thousand people working in the legal marijuana industry, generating over 226-million-dollars in state-level taxes last year. New Frontier Data estimates that California can make 300-to-500-million-dollars in marijuana taxes this year, after launching sales on January 1st.

Barack Obama’s Response To Donald Trump’s Plan To End DACA Reminds Us Of What A President Is Supposed To Be

(SL) – Day to day, Americans try to go on with their lives cautiously not knowing what Donald Trump will pull next.  With the fear of war hanging imminently over the country with his continued beef with Kim Jong Un and his relentless attempt to undo everything Barack Obama did at any cost, one loses hope.

But then, doing what he did so well in uniting the country while he was president and now, Barack Obama speaks up when needed.  Donald Trump is planning on rescinding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program in six months with Jeff Sessions claiming it has to be done because it is unconstitutional.

If it was so unconstitutional, I doubt Obama would’ve ever been able to start the program.  What is unconstitutional…Donald Trump continuing to make money off of his presidency for his businesses. But Americans are noticing and Actor Chris Evans summed it up best.

Yahoo reports,  Obama tweeted his reaction, which described Trump’s decision as wrong and “contrary to our spirit, and to common sense.”

With one swift response, the “Captain America” actor summed up why the former president’s statement meant so much to so many.

Trump’s decision puts into uncertainty the futures of roughly 800,000 young undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children, also known as Dreamers.
