Tip For Missing Wisconsin Girl Deemed Not Credible

(Barron County, WI-AP) — Police say the tip received about a Miami sighting of the 13-year-old Wisconsin girl missing since her parents were found dead was not credible. The search for Jayme Closs is now in the third day as police have been working around the clock to locate her.

Closs was last seen at a family function on Sunday afternoon. A 9-1-1 call on early Monday morning led police to her home, where they found the bodies of her parents, Denise and James Closs.

Authorities now say gunshots were involved in the parents deaths, but they haven’t given any further details.
