(Anaheim, CA-AP) — Walt Disney Company’s CEO says it will be “very difficult” for the company to continue filming in Georgia if a new restrictive abortion law goes into effect. Bob Iger said that many people will not want to work in that state after it passed a law that bans abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected.
In some cases that could be as early as the sixth week of pregnancy. Disney filmed blockbusters “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Endgame” in Georgia. Iger made his comments in an interview with Reuters.
He said he doesn’t see how it’s practical for them to continue to shoot there. The state’s law faces legal challenges.
