(Washington, DC) – Are receiving a little bit of egg on his face today after a federal judge ordered him to restore CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s media credential, Trump now says that the White House will devise new rules for news conferences and briefings.
Now Donald Trump says she will just leave if white house officials are not treated with respect by reporters.
Even though Trump claims that he believes in the freedom of the press he pulled Acosta’s credential after Jim asked a particular question that he didn’t like and an intern attempted to take the mic away from him. Trump said his behavior was inappropriate and revoked his press card. A federal judge overturned that decision today.
It will be interesting to see what these ‘new rules’ are moving forward.
(Washington, DC-AP) — A Washington, DC judge is postponing a decision on a CNN reporter’s White House media credential. CNN sued President Trump and several top officials after the White House pulled Jim Acosta’s credential.
Judge Timothy Kelly was expected to rule on CNN’s request for a temporary restraining order this afternoon but put it off until tomorrow morning. CNN claims Acosta’s First Amendment rights were violated. The White House accused Acosta of inappropriate behavior at a presidential news conference last week.
(Atlanta, GA) – Part of the downtown connector in Atlanta was held up early this moring due to a bomb scare and now many are wondering if it had anything to do with the package that was sent to CNN headquarters in Atlanta.
CNN President Jeff Zucker said the package was intercepted by a post office and that there was no imminent threat to CNN itself. Now, the next question…was it sent by 56-year old former male stripper turned terrorist, Cesar Sayoc.Sayoc is the man accused of sending pipe bombs to top Democrats and CNN headquarters in New York City and now authorities say he may have had a hit list with more than 100 targets. Sayoc was in court today for his first appearance. Shackled and handcuffed, he barely spoke during the hearing. He faces more than 50-years in prison.
(New York, NY) – The lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels strongly believes that within the next 90 days, an indictment will be unsealed against Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen for a host of serious offenses.
On CNN’s “State of the Union,” Michael Avenatti says Cohen is radioactive and the investigation won’t end well. Avenatti believes this is going to be a significant domino effect, as Cohen could be indicted for bank and wire fraud along with campaign finance violations. Cohen’s office was raided last week by the FBI reportedly in connection to payments made to Daniels.
According to Avenatti, Daniels will be in court with Cohen on Monday afternoon in New York. This is to send the message that this is a very serious matter for her and she wants to make sure the American people know she’s behind efforts to bring to light as much information and documents as possible. Avenatti said Daniels wants to ensure that she’s heard and represented at the hearing and this has nothing to do with getting into Cohen’s head at all.
(Kolkata) – Donald Trump Junior is on a week-long visit to India. The president’s oldest son is there to celebrate an upcoming Trump Towers residential project and to give a speech on foreign policy.
He’ll be speaking Friday about Indo-Pacific cooperation at a business summit also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He’ll also be meeting with investors across India, where the Trump organization has four different real estate development projects.
Meanwhile, NY Mag reports, Mueller’s investigators have been asking questions, including during interviews in January and February, about brother-in-law Jared Kushner’s conversations during the transition to shore up financing for 666 Fifth Avenue, a Kushner Companies–backed New York City office building reeling from financial troubles, according to people familiar with the special counsel investigation.
(SL) – White House aide Stephen Miller got a hard lesson in sticking to the topic today when he was a guest on CNN Host Jake Tapper’s show.
Miller clearly had an agenda. He wanted to attack CNN and its journalistic views while painting Donald Trump as a genius who can write 10 talking points in less than an hour after hearing a speech and recite them perfectly.
We all know that Donald Trump rarely sticks to the script which is why he finds himself in a contradictory and untruthful position 80 percent of the time. What Miller should’ve done was come prepared to answer questions honestly about Fire and Fury, the book that has become a best seller over night and paints what some say could be an accurate picture of what’s going on inside the White House.
As for whether or not Steve Bannon made certain comments about Donald Trump, Miller had no knowledge but insisted on saying the book was full of lies and trash. Trump’s meeting with the Russians, again no solid answer outside of what his agenda was. On the letter that he wrote to get James Comey released…again no solid answer outside of his agenda.
Tapper like the rest of us had had enough and pulled the plug on the interview. Check it out for yourself

(CNN Money) – Christie’s said the painting “caused a scandal” when Modigliani exhibited it nearly 100 years ago at his “first and only” one-man show in Paris.
“Outraged by the content of the show — which had caused a crowd to form outside the gallery window where one of Modigliani’s nudes was openly on display — the police demanded the immediate closure of the exhibition,” said Christie’s.
Modigliani was an Italian libertine who died poor, at age 35, but not before he painted a lot of nudes.
Christie’s broke a record when it sold a Picasso for $179 million in May. The auction house had expected to get $140 million for the painting, “Les femmes d’Alger.”
The prior record was $142 million for Francis Bacon’s “Three Studies of Lucian Freud,” which was sold in 2013. The current record for a Modigliani is a sculpture that sold for $70.7 million last year.
Christie’s is now hoping to have another putting the Modigliani on the auction block November 9 in New York. The painting,“Reclining Nude,” dates from 1917 and 1918, the final years of World War I.
And it just might get it, considering the nine-digit prices that Modern Art masterpieces have been getting.
