Pacquiao Fight Could Bring Floyd Mayweather Out Of Retirement

(Tokyo, Japan) – Floyd Mayweather’s career earnings hover around the billion dollar mark. He’s got all the titles in the world and most people rank him as the 3rd best boxer in history with Muhammad Ali leading the decorated group.
However, there’s one more belt that he wants and it currently belongs to Manny Pacquiao. He won the WBA secondary welterweight belt in July by knocking out Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia and Mayweather says he wants that belt.
The two were spotted together at an event in Tokyo. And the whole exchange was caught on video. As the two jawed at each other over the possible rematch, the month of December was thrown out as the ideal time to meet back in the ring. Pacquiao told the LA Times that he was looking to return to the ring in December to fight Amar Khan but he also said he would for his next fight to be in the United States.  A reported tax debt may keep that form happening though.
Floyd’s last fight was against UFC star Conor McGregor last year. When Mayweahter beat Pacquiao in 205, a record 4.6 million people paid to watch.

{Video} And Stillll Undefeated….Ref Calls Mayweather -McGregor Fight In 10th Round

(SL) –Floyd Mayweather still has all of his bragging rights intact after defeating Conor McGregor in 10 rounds. McGregor may be a fighter but there’s a level of skill and pace that comes with boxing. He seemed tired early and that’s exactly what Floyd wanted.

Strategic like when Rocky beat the Russian in Rocky 4. Floyd let McGregor throw his heart out in the first three rounds and then went on the attack. His strategy from the beginning, he says, was to take his time and pace McGregor out.

Post fight, McGregor said he would’ve liked to see how the 10th ended. He’s known for getting wobbly on his legs when he’s tired. But he felt like he could’ve gone on.

“I thought it was close,’ a defiant McGregor argued. ‘I thought I had him in the early rounds. I thought he was getting me in the middle toward the end. ‘But where was the final two rounds? Let me wobble back to me corner. Let me try and recompose myself. You’ve got to put me out.”

For Floyd, who most estimate will take home a cool $100 -200 million for the fight, promises this is indeed his last. Surpassing Marciano’s 49-0 record, Mayweather is comfortable with 50-0 and ready to dip his gloves in gold and hang them up for good.
