(SL) – Conor McGregor is living it up after earning $130 million dollars fighting Floyd Mayweather. That shiner is a small price to pay for that kind of money.
The fighter has been enjoying the festivities surrounding his childhood friend’s wedding in Ibiza just a week after the fight in Vegas.
Since the fight, McGregor has been kicking back, traveling and one trip found him on the Balearic islands.
His long-standing friend Tom Devitt got married and it looked like the 29-year-old made the most of the celebration in the Mediterranean sun.
McGregor who spoke of his plans to hire a 100 foot yacht for the nuptials, was accompanied by his long-term partner and mother of his child Dee Devlin.
McGregor’s mother, Margaret was also with him.
(SL) – The Mayweather/McGregor fight was the hottest ticket across the country Saturday as tons of celebs and boxing fans alike found themselves in Vegas to watch Floyd Mayweather fight what he says was his last fight.
Couples like Lebron James and Savannah, Diddy and Cassie and J-ROD joined other celebs including Jamie Foxx, Leonardo Dicaprio, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemworth ringside for all of the action. The bout went 10 rounds before the ref called it leaving Floyd undefeated and at the top of history as he surpassed Rocky Marciano’s record of 49-0.
(SL) –Floyd Mayweather still has all of his bragging rights intact after defeating Conor McGregor in 10 rounds. McGregor may be a fighter but there’s a level of skill and pace that comes with boxing. He seemed tired early and that’s exactly what Floyd wanted.
Strategic like when Rocky beat the Russian in Rocky 4. Floyd let McGregor throw his heart out in the first three rounds and then went on the attack. His strategy from the beginning, he says, was to take his time and pace McGregor out.
And like a true champion, McGregor pointed out that Floyd switched his style of fighting three different times during the match. He was expecting the champ to maneuver this way.
“I thought it was close,’ a defiant McGregor argued. ‘I thought I had him in the early rounds. I thought he was getting me in the middle toward the end. ‘But where was the final two rounds? Let me wobble back to me corner. Let me try and recompose myself. You’ve got to put me out.”
For Floyd, who most estimate will take home a cool $100 -200 million for the fight, promises this is indeed his last. Surpassing Marciano’s 49-0 record, Mayweather is comfortable with 50-0 and ready to dip his gloves in gold and hang them up for good.
McGregor will earn $30-$100 Million when it’s all said and done. Cheers to a great fight!
