Ohio’s Lordstown GM Plant Closing Sooner Than Expected

(Lordstown, OH-AP) — The last Chevy Cruze will come off the assembly line in Lordstown, Ohio soon. In November, General Motors announced it would close the plant that opened there back in 1966.

Production was supposed to end on March 8th, but officials now say it will actually stop this Wednesday. Seven hundred GM workers have already transferred to other plants. The other 14-hundred will be out of jobs this week.
