Wisconsin Teen Jayme Closs Found Alive, Suspect Will Appear In Court Monday

(Barron, WI) — Police in Wisconsin will give more details in the morning about the discovery of 13-year-old Jayme Closs, who went missing in October when he parents were found shot to death. Jayme was found alive in the town of Gordon, which is in the northwestern part of the state about 40 miles southeast of Duluth, Minnesota. It’s believed she escaped the house and ran out screaming for help.

A short time after she was found, police arrested a suspect. Jayme’s parents were found murdered inside their home near Barron. Weeks of intensive searching for Jayme turned up no clues.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald remarked that Jake Patterson will be charged with two counts of homicide and one count of kidnapping.
