(Chico, CA-AP) — Authorities in Northern California are increasing the death toll in the Camp Fire. Eight more bodies were found on Wednesday, putting the number of dead at 56. That number could increase as 130 people are still missing.
The Camp Fire burned 138-thousand acres and is 35 percent contained. On Wednesday, a third body was found in the Woolsey Fire in Southern California, bringing the death toll in wildfires currently burning in the state to 59.
