(New York, NY) — New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is resigning just hours after four women said he physically assaulted them. In a statement, Schneiderman noted that he “strongly” contests the allegations made in “The New Yorker” magazine.
Two of the women claim Schneiderman choked and slapped them. They reportedly had to get medical attention for their injuries. All four women said the abuse happened while they were romantically involved with Schneiderman.
Schneiderman denied the accusations, saying he’s never assaulted anyone. But, he said he has “engaged in role-playing and other consensual sexual activity.”
