(SM) – Palm Beach County reports golfer Tiger Woods was arrested on early Monday in Florida on a charge of drunk driving.
The 41-year-old was arrested around 3 am on Military Trail, south of Indian Creek Parkway in Jupiter where he has an $83 million dollar home on Jupiter Island and a restaurant called The Woods. Woods, described as ‘arrogant’ by the arresting officers refused to take a breathalyzer test after he was stopped while driving erratically in his 2015 Mercedes Benz. Tiger claims he ‘fully cooperated’ and made the point of thanking Jupiter Police.
Woods was booked at 7:18 am and released on his own recognizance at 10:50 am. This is the second time he’s been caught driving under the influence.
Woods claims his DUI arrest in Florida was because of an ‘unexpected reaction’ to his medication and not because he was drunk. In a statement released Monday, the golfer blames a ‘mix of medications’ and apologized to his family, friends and fans for his arrest.
