Paul Millsap Dominates As Usual, Lead Hawks To 110-93 Win Over 76ers

(SL)  – The City of Atlanta was full of life Saturday night. The Hawks are doing really well, and the Falcons are one game away from the Super Bowl. This is an Atlanta sports fan’s dream almost come true. The Hawks would be taking on the Philadelphia 76ers for the 3rd time this season. The Hawks destroyed the 76ers on their own home court by 31 points in Atlanta’s second game of the season, then by another 21 points a couple weeks later.

201701212037742201366-p2-vadapt-767-high-0Saturday night would be no different. Philly actually had a decent lead for most of the 1st quarter, but the Hawks fought back and tied the game up on a Paul Millsap 2 pointer to end the first. Millsap would also hit an almost identical shot to close out the 1st  half and push the Hawks lead to 8.

The 76ers wouldn’t even come close to seeing a lead for the remainder of the game. The Hawks went on to win 110-93. This makes the second night in a row that the Hawks held a team to exactly 93 points. That’s a cool yet irrelevant stat, but the Hawks 8th straight home win is very relevant! This team has been on an impressive roll lately going 9-2 so far in 2017, and letting the world know that the Falcons aren’t the only team in Atlanta putting in work right now.

Paul Millsap lead the way in the win vs 76ers with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Dwight Howard made his presence felt as he usually does with 13 points and 15 rebounds for his 27th double double of the season to help the Hawks move to 26-18 on the season.  The Hawks will take on the 29-16 Los Angeles Clippers in Philips Arena Monday night. That should definitely be a great game between two teams that are currently both ranked 4th in their respective conferences!
