Atlanta’s Resuscitation Continues As They Take Another Win Against Detroit

(SL)  – Kent Bazemore said the video from their 36-point loss to the Pistons was on the TV all day in the locker room. To be reminded of that defeat not once or twice, but all day lol was a nice psych game played by Coach Bud.

It worked. Not only did the Hawks handle business but they did it in a way to where they appeared to be having fun. Sometimes you’ve got to be able to relax and remember why you do what you do. That’s two wins in a row for Atlanta and hopefully it will be a third on Sunday when they play the Spurs.  Let’s take a look at their 105-98 win against Detroit.

All-Star Paul Millsap led the Hawks with 26 points, playing with a busted eye he received accidentally from teammate Dwight Howard during a game last week and he’s been hit in it consistently the past 3 games.  All good though because he had no problem seeing the rim and leading Atlanta to victory.
Kyle Korver had a season high 22 points  while Dennis Schroder, who comically resuscitated Dwight Howard during a play that ended with him hitting the hardwood pretty forcefully, had 17 pints and 7 assists while D. Howard pulled in another double-double (10 pts 15 rbs).

As for the Pistons, Andre Drummond delivered his 22nd double-double of the year with 15pts and 15 rebounds but the end result was another L for Detroit who has lost 7 of their last 8 games. On Sunday the Piston will travel to Miami to play the Heat. The Hawks, home once again to host San Antonio who’s sitting quietly as hey always do at #2 in the West with a 27-6 record. Atlanta is 17-16, 5th in the East.
