Burke Ramsey Files $750 Million Lawsuit Against CBS For Special That Implied He Killed Sister JonBenet

(Sl) – It’s been 20 years and we will probably never know what really happened to that little girl. Several specials have aired and new technology used to gather new facts or evidence, if you will, but at the end of it all…the result remains the same. Speculation yes, facts, no. And now, the older brother of murdered pageant queen JonBenét Ramsey has filed a lawsuit over a true crime TV special that pegged him as the killer.

Two days after the 20th anniversary of JonBenet’s death, Burke Ramsey  hit court in Michigan yo file a $750 million lawsuit against CBS and seven consultants.

The lawsuit pertains to the CBS special ‘The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey’ which aired back in September and charges the production company with falsely concluding that Burke – who was nine years old at the time of the murder, killed his six-year-old sister by hitting her over the head with a flashlight.

Reportedly, Burke is demanding $250 million in compensatory damages and $500 million in punitive damages for ‘permanent damage to his reputation’ resulting from the TV special’s false accusation.

The suit does not include the $150 million lawsuit against Dr. Werner Spitz, a crime expert whose interview about the case was used on the show. The Spitz suit was filed in October.
