(SL) – After endorsing Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump Tuesday, Sara Palin was a no show today in Iowa. . An online invitation for the first event promised the appearance of a “special guest.” But, Trump was alone as he took the stage at the Wright Place, a small venue in a strip of offices in Norwalk.
However in a poorly typed Facebook post, Palin said that she was scheduled to be in Oklahoma.
While there, the Former Governor of Alaska suggested that her 26-year old son Track, who was arrested this week for a punching his girlfriend in the eye and kicking her, suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
“I guess it’s kind of an elephant in the room, because my own family — going through what we’re going through today,” Palin said at the event in Oklahoma alluding to Track’s arrest. “My son, a combat vet, having served in a Stryker Brigade for you all, America in the war zone; but my son, like so many others, they came back a bit different.”
She added, “I can certainly relate with other families who feel these ramifications of some PTSD.” And in true Palin fashion, she blamed her son’s arrest on President Obama, and used the incident to further encourage Americans to vote for Trump saying if elected trump will treat Vets better than illegal immigrants.
Reportedly, Track Palin was also arrested in High School for vandalism and has a history of drug use. Here is the full press release from the Wasilla Police :
