(Daily Mail) – A trailer on set of Tom Cruise’s movie burst into flames as the actor was sitting in his trailer nearby in between scenes.
The fire reportedly broke out in a wardrobe trailer on set of Cruise’s new film, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back on Friday night, just outside of New Orleans, according to TMZ.
As chaos unfolded, emergency responders arrived at the scene and were able to put out the fire. No one was seriously injured.
Cruise was reportedly only yards away inside his trailer when the fire erupted that night, according to The Mirror.
Scenes from the incident showed big flames and dark clouds of smoke coming from the trailer.
The fire occurred on the same day that actress Leah Remini detailed her years in Scientology and why she decided to leave the religion in an explosive and revealing interview.
Speaking with 20/20, Remini said that after attending the 2006 wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in Italy, she returned home complaining about the behavior of two high-ranking Church members who she thought needed to be dealt with – Cruise and leader David Miscavige.
‘I now see where the cracks are in our Church, and it’s David Miscavige. It’s Tom Cruise,’ Remini said she wrote at the time in a knowledge report.
‘They are bringing Scientology down.’
