(SL) – The Ebony magazine cover featuring a shattered image of America’s favorite TV family has been more than a topic of discussion.
Bill Cosby is not Dr.Cliff Huxtable. But somehow, people want to directly correlate the two when one has no bearing on the other .
It was a TV show. Part of Bill Cosby’s legacy yes, but it was a TV show.
Whether or not Bill Cosby is guilty of the accusations presented has nothing to do with what The Cosby show did for society and the way black people were being portrayed on Television until he produced what became one of the most popular shows in history.
It is partially because of the Cosby show that characters/roles for black actors and actresses have been upgraded from criminals and drug addicts to doctors and lawyers.
Nevertheless, the running question is, has the Cosby Show’s reputation been ruined?
